Hi,
I am Merry and here I share my passion for physical education in the Montessori environment and talk about how to move like Montessori.

I believe that P.E. can be aligned with the Montessori principles and by doing so, students and educators both benefit and grow.
Montessori about movement:
But mental development must be connected with movement and be dependent on it. It is vital that educational theory and practice be informed by that idea.”Montessori About Movement, Absorbent Mind p.141.

Montessori education recognizes the importance of movement for children's development.

As Maria Montessori famously said, "The hands are the instruments of man’s intelligence."       Through movement, children can explore their environment, discover their capacities, and develop meaningful relationships with their peers and teachers. By encouraging movement and providing engaging activities, Montessori classrooms create an environment that fosters the whole child.

Physical education plays an important role in the Montessori environment.

It helps children learn to use their bodies to move, explore, and develop their motor and coordination skills.

Physical education also encourages children to be active and healthy, so they can focus and learn more in the classroom. Through physical education, children can learn about teamwork, self-discipline, and responsibility, which will help them succeed later in life.

By encouraging physical activity, children can develop the skills they need to lead a healthy lifestyle. As a consultant, I can help schools create an effective physical education program that meets their unique needs.
